Hi there and welcome to Freebie Hunters! One of our favorite pastimes in Second Life is scouting the grid for fantastic hunts, sales, events and gifts from all the wonderful creators. We thought we'd share the wealth and showcase some of our finds in this blog, with an emphasis on the goodies available in various SL events and hunts. We do our best to show ALL items from a hunt/event and in the manner the creator intended, but this is not always possible.

***UPDATE August, 2018- We are still finding freebie/nearly free items to share with you, but due to RL time constraints, a lot of what we find is being posted solely on Flickr. Ocio Xtreme Hunt: 1-42

Ocio Extreme Hunt
The Ocio Xtreme Hunt was put together by a bunch of bloggers to showcase some of their favorite stores. I wasn't sure if I was going to blog it or not - given the short duration of the hunt, and how busy the beginning of the month always is, and that since it is coordinated by bloggers the likelihood of it being covered in a ton of blogs - but I gave it a shot and boy, am I glad I did! This hunt features some old veterans of the SL hunts, as well as a whole slew of new places to explore. I definitely found some new favorite stores for my personal wardrobe in SL. As for the hunt, its a tough one. There is an in-world group and an official blog, but the hunt has no hints that I could find and not all the information on the blog is up to date in terms of correct SLurls and store information. Additionally, you do need to have the group tags on for the hunt items to give you a gift. In a few places, tags are not set properly, but the items can be bought for 0L. All in all, with a little effort, you should be able to navigate the hunt fairly well. I did have to use my search a few times to locate stores, but it was definitely do-able.

You only have until the 21st, and some of the hunt items are hidden fairly well, so don't waste too much time - get your hunt buddies together and go check out these great stores!
