Welcome!

Hi there and welcome to Freebie Hunters! One of our favorite pastimes in Second Life is scouting the grid for fantastic hunts, sales, events and gifts from all the wonderful creators. We thought we'd share the wealth and showcase some of our finds in this blog, with an emphasis on the goodies available in various SL events and hunts. We do our best to show ALL items from a hunt/event and in the manner the creator intended, but this is not always possible.

***UPDATE August, 2018- We are still finding freebie/nearly free items to share with you, but due to RL time constraints, a lot of what we find is being posted solely on Flickr. Midsummer Night's Dream 2: 1-50

Whew...stock up on water bottles, pack a few energy bars, and get ready to tackle this monster of a hunt! Over 260 stores are participating in the second Midsummer Night's Dream Hunt, making it one of the biggest hunts currently going on in Second Life. This is not a free hunt - each gift is 1L, but the variety of stores involved insure that everyone is getting some fantastic gifts regardless of your personal taste. There are skins, clothes, hair, accessories, builds, all kinds of goodies the designers have so graciously come up with so be sure not to miss out on this hunt. Because of its size, we are breaking the hunt into chunks of 50 stores at a time for the posts. Also, we started working through this hunt on the day it opened, so in the early posts, there are some stores we skipped for not being ready which are ready now. However, due to the size of the hunt and how close it is to the end of the month and the slew of new hunts starting, we did not go back to places we skipped. Therefore - join the in-world group, refer to the official blog, and don't miss out on anything. Definitely a hunt for doing as a group - those pretty little butterflies can be hidden in some very clever spots.
