Hi there and welcome to Freebie Hunters! One of our favorite pastimes in Second Life is scouting the grid for fantastic hunts, sales, events and gifts from all the wonderful creators. We thought we'd share the wealth and showcase some of our finds in this blog, with an emphasis on the goodies available in various SL events and hunts. We do our best to show ALL items from a hunt/event and in the manner the creator intended, but this is not always possible.

***UPDATE August, 2018- We are still finding freebie/nearly free items to share with you, but due to RL time constraints, a lot of what we find is being posted solely on Flickr. Cart Sale @ The Wash, Spring '12

Cart Sale @ The Wash
The Cart Sale is a bi-annual event hosted by the good folks at The Wash sim. For those of you who have never taken part in the Cart Sale before, it is definitely an event you do not want to miss. There are over 120 designers set up on street carts all over the sim. Each cart is filled with all kinds of goodies - clothing, hair, shoes, accessories, builds, home decor, etc - and everything, yes, EVERYTHING, is 10L or under. I have been lucky enough to take part in the Cart Sale both as a designer for my own store and as a guest blogger for their official blog. The deals are amazing, the items for sale this time around are some of the best I have seen included in the event since I started blogging for them.

This is not a hunt - you can go anywhere on the sim and just check out the carts. Their official blog does have a page listing the individual stores taking part with specific SLurls to their carts if you want them. Over the next couple days, I will be cross-posting all the goodies the designers are sending me so you guys can get a look at whats there. Seriously - you KNOW these designers, you KNOW the quality of what they make, and for 10L per item, this is a golden opportunity to score some really great buys without spending a lot of money!

      They had a TON of deals - I am still posting for them at their own site, but will be cross-posting here once I have enough for another big post like this one. I'm glad you found some good stuff!
