Welcome!

Hi there and welcome to Freebie Hunters! One of our favorite pastimes in Second Life is scouting the grid for fantastic hunts, sales, events and gifts from all the wonderful creators. We thought we'd share the wealth and showcase some of our finds in this blog, with an emphasis on the goodies available in various SL events and hunts. We do our best to show ALL items from a hunt/event and in the manner the creator intended, but this is not always possible.

***UPDATE August, 2018- We are still finding freebie/nearly free items to share with you, but due to RL time constraints, a lot of what we find is being posted solely on Flickr. Retro Swap Meet @ The Wash, pt. 2

The Retro Swap Meet has been in full swing over a week now, and we couldn't resist bringing one more peek at some of the fantastic retro-themed items available until June 6th. Best of all? Everything you see is 10L or less during this event. There are over 30 designers taking part in this event and TONS more stuff than what we've shown here. Its a great event and a great chance to pick up some real steals and deals.

Retro Swap Meet @ The Wash

The good folks over at The Wash sim are hosting the Retro Swap meet event until June 6th. We've been posting it to their own blog for the last few days, and thought we would share the goodness with our own readers. The theme for the event is all things retro, spanning from the 1920s to the 1980s. We've seen some really great designs - everything from glamorous 1920s starlet-inspired gowns to some pretty funky disco outfits, as well as home decor/furnishings from a sweet looking lava lamp to some pretty cool beanbags. There are over 30 designers from SL taking part and all the booths are set up on The Wash sim - making it really easy to wander around and take a peek at what they have to offer. Best part? Everything...yes, EVERYTHING..is 10L or less!

Its a long weekend for most of us, so its a great time to take a couple hours and check out the event.
