Hi there and welcome to Freebie Hunters! One of our favorite pastimes in Second Life is scouting the grid for fantastic hunts, sales, events and gifts from all the wonderful creators. We thought we'd share the wealth and showcase some of our finds in this blog, with an emphasis on the goodies available in various SL events and hunts. We do our best to show ALL items from a hunt/event and in the manner the creator intended, but this is not always possible.

***UPDATE August, 2018- We are still finding freebie/nearly free items to share with you, but due to RL time constraints, a lot of what we find is being posted solely on Flickr. Creepy Classics Hunt

Creepy classic Hunt
One of the best parts of the Halloween season is the flood of horror movies showing on TV. I spend practically the entire month with the TV on in the background, listening to the tried and true horror classics while I go about my normal daily stuff. This hunt is a tribute to the Classics - the old movies we all grew up on, when horror relied more on atmosphere and what we didn't see on the screen than in0your-face gore and mayhem. The Creepy Classics hunt is filled with awesome stores and great themed gifts. We saw a nice mix of familiar stores and new blood, and the path itself went smooth as silk. There are only 38 stores in this hunt, which makes it a perfect way to spend an evening or two bopping around SL, preferably with the lights off and some Bela Lugosi going on in the background.

The hunt runs to the end of the month, so round up your favorite hunt pals, maybe salute the season yourself by dressing as your favorite classic movie monster, and have a great time!

    Where did Shadow Dreams go? Only empty air at the slurl...They don't show up anywhere in Search...
