Welcome!

Hi there and welcome to Freebie Hunters! One of our favorite pastimes in Second Life is scouting the grid for fantastic hunts, sales, events and gifts from all the wonderful creators. We thought we'd share the wealth and showcase some of our finds in this blog, with an emphasis on the goodies available in various SL events and hunts. We do our best to show ALL items from a hunt/event and in the manner the creator intended, but this is not always possible.

***UPDATE August, 2018- We are still finding freebie/nearly free items to share with you, but due to RL time constraints, a lot of what we find is being posted solely on Flickr. If you would like to follow the events being posted there, here is a link to the album page for our account: Flickr Albums. These are not blog posts, but simply pictures of the gifts available. Thank you!

Thank You to all of the creators!

Results are in....

...and I am blind from getting them sorted/posted!

The Hunt Survey we have been running all month has been closed, the results tabulated, and posted HERE for anyone who is curious.

Thank you so much to every one who took the time to fill out the survey and share your thoughts with us - you gave us a terrific wealth of information and we truly appreciate it.

Cheers,
Shadow and Thanos

  1. Awesome information! Thanks for posting the results, I had wondered if I was the only one that thought the way I do, but it turns out that I am not. I was surprised about the pay hunts though. Gotta admit, I don't do them simply because things are tight right now. But still very good info.

  2. Yes!! Absolutely yes - I would love to see an *Old Timers * hunt - it could feature weathered, rugged skins, gray hairs and mustache, canes, walkers, hats, glasses, elegant and suave outfits, period outfits, period furniture - wow this could be so@@ much fun.

  3. I guess my comments about the 'area search' tool are not being accepted. Never thought you would censor that.

  4. Really? Have you checked the actual page the comments were left on? Because we haven't censored anything anyone has left on this topic. Comments about area search were left on the Hunt Poll Result page, and that is where they are published, to the same page they were left on.

    Have a nice day.
