SL Freebie Hunters: Menstuff Hunt Fall 2012 (1-50)

Welcome!

Hi there and welcome to Freebie Hunters! One of our favorite pastimes in Second Life is scouting the grid for fantastic hunts, sales, events and gifts from all the wonderful creators. We thought we'd share the wealth and showcase some of our finds in this blog, with an emphasis on the goodies available in various SL events and hunts. We do our best to show ALL items from a hunt/event and in the manner the creator intended, but this is not always possible.

***UPDATE August, 2018- We are still finding freebie/nearly free items to share with you, but due to RL time constraints, a lot of what we find is being posted solely on Flickr. Menstuff Hunt Fall 2012 (1-50)

The Fall 2012 version of the MenStuff Hunt has kicked off over the weekend and it is CRAMMED with great items for the guys! You have a month to make it through these 150 fantastic shops and collect all the goodies they have stashed for the hunters. There is an in-world group (50L to join the group if you do not already belong) and there is an online blog with all the stores, SLurls and hints. The advantage to being in the group is that you have access to the Lounge, which has even more great stuff from the stores for the guys to pick up AND you get to hang out in the chat and get extra help if you need it.

As far as the hunt itself goes, we had very little problem with it. We did the hunt as soon as it kicked off and there were the expected bumps with sims down, stores not ready, etc - by this point, however, everything has pretty much been ironed out. Stores with issues have been replaced and we were able to pick up all 150 gifts. These guys worked their butts off to make this as smooth as possible for a hunt this size and they pulled it off fantastically.

Problems at the time we went through: There were a couple skips due to down sims and minor hiccups, but the online blog is up to date and you should have no problem.
