Welcome!

Hi there and welcome to Freebie Hunters! One of our favorite pastimes in Second Life is scouting the grid for fantastic hunts, sales, events and gifts from all the wonderful creators. We thought we'd share the wealth and showcase some of our finds in this blog, with an emphasis on the goodies available in various SL events and hunts. We do our best to show ALL items from a hunt/event and in the manner the creator intended, but this is not always possible.

***UPDATE August, 2018- We are still finding freebie/nearly free items to share with you, but due to RL time constraints, a lot of what we find is being posted solely on Flickr. FutureWave is here!

Second Life is filled with things for every taste from the exquisitely chic to the deliciously gruesome and today we're showcasing the gloriously glowing neon lights of Futurewave. The event kicked off earlier today at the Cursed sim and is something you should not miss - even if sci-fi isn't your thing, the build is gorgeous and there is a ton of stuff to see. We've got a peek at some of the lovely and intriguing items you can find for sale during the event - some will be available in the various shops after the event and some are exclusives, so if you see something you like, don't put off picking it up too long.

Also a reminder to folks visiting the event: please be kind and limit your scripts when you get there - meaning no combat huds or other high lag-causing items. Whenever you get a lot of avatars in the same place, lag is inevitable so do your part and leave the worst of your fashion offenders at home.
