Hi there and welcome to Freebie Hunters! One of our favorite pastimes in Second Life is scouting the grid for fantastic hunts, sales, events and gifts from all the wonderful creators. We thought we'd share the wealth and showcase some of our finds in this blog, with an emphasis on the goodies available in various SL events and hunts. We do our best to show ALL items from a hunt/event and in the manner the creator intended, but this is not always possible.

***UPDATE August, 2018- We are still finding freebie/nearly free items to share with you, but due to RL time constraints, a lot of what we find is being posted solely on Flickr. World Goth Fair '15 is open!

Its that time of year again folks, and World Goth Fair has once more opened its doors on the Cursed sim. They have a couple of changes this year, namely that the event is not connected to a charity this time around and that they have consolidated all the gothy goodness onto one sim rather than the multiple sims in the past. That being said - the Cursed sim build for the event looks gorgeous! Windlight settings there are at midnight, so be sure to check it out in the intended lighting to see all the beautiful glowy effects.

A complete listing of participating stores and an event map to help locate your favorite stores quickly can be found at the official web site. The fair will run from noon SLT May 15th to midnight SLT June 1st, so you have plenty of time to visit the event, poke around the shops, listen to some music at Club Gothika's mobile unit and generally have some fun.

We will be bringing a peek at some of the dark and lovely items you will find at the event over the next few days. Word to the wise shopper - if you see it and want it, go buy it! A lot of these items are event exclusives which means once World Goth Fair ends, you will be out of luck forever.
