SL Freebie Hunters: Swank & 'Stuff Hunt

Welcome!

Hi there and welcome to Freebie Hunters! One of our favorite pastimes in Second Life is scouting the grid for fantastic hunts, sales, events and gifts from all the wonderful creators. We thought we'd share the wealth and showcase some of our finds in this blog, with an emphasis on the goodies available in various SL events and hunts. We do our best to show ALL items from a hunt/event and in the manner the creator intended, but this is not always possible.

***UPDATE August, 2018- We are still finding freebie/nearly free items to share with you, but due to RL time constraints, a lot of what we find is being posted solely on Flickr. Swank & 'Stuff Hunt

October's fun continues with the Swank & 'Stuff Hunt currently in full swing. This is a fun event by hosted by Swank and The 'stuff Groups. There are rides, a haunted house to explore, and a hunt that spans both the Swank shopping event space and the 'stuff lounges and shopping areas. No group tags are needed - as you wander around and check out the shops and attractions, keep your eyes open for black roses scattered randomly around the area. Each is for sale for 0L and contains a gift from one of the shops participating in the Swank shopping event or the 'stuff groups.

There are signs marked with the black rose at each location and I recommend tapping it for the hunt notecard. The card includes LMs to both locations and a listing of the stores taking part in the hunt. You can cross off each store as you find the rose, since they are not numbered and there are no clues to help you find them. It's an easy way to keep track of what you have found and what you are still looking for so you don't pick up the same roses over and over as you hunt.
