HAPPY 10th ANNIVERSARY, CART SALE!
As my regular blog readers know, Cart Sale is near and dear to my heart. When I first got my shop in SL up and running, it took me some time to get the courage to try applying for any of the events or hunts happening on the grid. In 2010, I finally bit the bullet and applied to the Cart Sale - you could have knocked me over with a feather when I got accepted! So Cart Sale at the Wash (back when the merchants had actual carts in the middle of the streets) was my very first shopping event. A few years after that, I signed on as their official blogger, and I haven't looked back.
So here we are (7 yrs for me later for me), celebrating the 10th year of Cart Sales, still hosted by the Wash, bringing our own unique shopping experience to the grid. There is a lot of stuff going on for this round, lots of extras that normal rounds do not have. Here is a quick rundown of what you will find:
- Kiosks lining the streets, filled with the usual fabulous finds for 10L. Merchants also have the option of setting out one special item for 50L.
- Follow the green neon arrows in the streets, and you will find yourself at the Wash Laundromat - which happens to be chock full of gachas (a Cart Sale first!) just for this event. Maximum pull price is 50L, so you can find some pretty neat stuff there as well.
- Gifts - pretty little pale green gift boxes can be found on almost all of the kiosks (and I hear there may be one or two in the Laundromat as well). These are our thank you to you, the shoppers, for supporting the Cart Sale events for so many years.
- Treasure Trove Yardsale - Technically, this isn't part of the Cart Sale since the yardsale is there year round. But there are a ton of tables filled with gacha resale items and the stock there changes frequently, so you never know when you might find a diamond in the rough just waiting to be snatched up.
The sim itself has also had a bit of a revamp - there are a bunch of new stores who have joined the Wash family, so be sure to check them out while you are here. The lovely folks from Fab Free have their office here on sim as well.
The Cart Sale runs from Oct. 11th to Nov. 1st, so there is plenty of time to come down and explore all the stuff we have going on. Hope to see you there. Here's to another 10 years of Cart Sales!
