Hi there and welcome to Freebie Hunters! One of our favorite pastimes in Second Life is scouting the grid for fantastic hunts, sales, events and gifts from all the wonderful creators. We thought we'd share the wealth and showcase some of our finds in this blog, with an emphasis on the goodies available in various SL events and hunts. We do our best to show ALL items from a hunt/event and in the manner the creator intended, but this is not always possible.

***UPDATE August, 2018- We are still finding freebie/nearly free items to share with you, but due to RL time constraints, a lot of what we find is being posted solely on Flickr. SL's Shop Your Heart Out!

Valentine's Day is sneaking up on us and Second Life is hosting a shopping event geared specifically to bring a little sweetness your way. The "Shop Your Heart Out" event has kicked off and the festivities are underway. The participating stores all have items marked down, some as low as 50% off and many of the stores have also put out gorgeous little gifties you can pick up as you shop. The event runs from February 8th to the 26th, so if you have trouble getting into the event, don't panic - you have plenty of time to get there.

I managed to squeak my way in last night and made the rounds (the event is spread over 2 sims). Below are pictures of the gifts I picked up along the way. I did some shopping as well - a couple outfits and some hair from my favorite designers, all at insanely low prices (Truth hair for 150L, Magicka hair for 106L!) which means I will probably be going back for another sweep through, since there were a couple more items I had an eye on but didn't pick up this time (I know, I know - shopping can be an addiction, but it's not as bad if you spread it out over several visits, right?).
