SL Freebie Hunters: The Gacha Garden, Feb'18 Round

Welcome!

Hi there and welcome to Freebie Hunters! One of our favorite pastimes in Second Life is scouting the grid for fantastic hunts, sales, events and gifts from all the wonderful creators. We thought we'd share the wealth and showcase some of our finds in this blog, with an emphasis on the goodies available in various SL events and hunts. We do our best to show ALL items from a hunt/event and in the manner the creator intended, but this is not always possible.

***UPDATE August, 2018- We are still finding freebie/nearly free items to share with you, but due to RL time constraints, a lot of what we find is being posted solely on Flickr. The Gacha Garden, Feb'18 Round

The Gacha Garden's February round has been open a couple weeks, but I didn't want to let it pass by without sharing a look at some of the gifts and gacha items you can find at the event. If you haven't been to one of their events before, its a lot of fun: All of the designers have gachas set out on a beautiful fantasy garden themed sim. There is always a wide variety of things to find in the gachas themselves, from makeups to clothing to home decor and just plain fun, silly stuff.

Most of the designers have a free group gift at their gacha spots as well - the group is free to join and the gifts are easy to spot in their cute little giftboxes. There is also the Seed of Inspiration for those of you who are true gacha fanatics - if you play the gacha enough times (20 pulls on the same gacha), you get it as a free bonus gift just for playing. These SOI items are usually coordinated to go with the gacha items as special pieces of the sets. Additionally, you might be lucky enough to be there when a Gacha Fairy makes an appearance, bestowing special items on random players.

There is a gacha trade group associated with the event as well for swapping extras and there is also a gacha resale store where you can find many items from both present and past events.
