Hi there and welcome to Freebie Hunters! One of our favorite pastimes in Second Life is scouting the grid for fantastic hunts, sales, events and gifts from all the wonderful creators. We thought we'd share the wealth and showcase some of our finds in this blog, with an emphasis on the goodies available in various SL events and hunts. We do our best to show ALL items from a hunt/event and in the manner the creator intended, but this is not always possible.

***UPDATE August, 2018- We are still finding freebie/nearly free items to share with you, but due to RL time constraints, a lot of what we find is being posted solely on Flickr. The Clockwork Spiral designers are killing me - every time I think I have it all finished and posted for you guys to see, they hit me with more stuff that leaves me oooh-ing and ahhh-ing and rushing it get it up on the blog!  So...one more time...unless more stuff floats my way...I give you a peek at what to expect from A Clockwork Spiral!

A Clockwork Spiral, pt. 5


Like manna from heaven, we had another couple blogger boxes find their way into our hot little hands from the Clockwork Spiral event.  This is good stuff, folks. By now you know what the event is about: tons of steampunky pretties on a gorgeous build, benefiting the National Kidney Foundation. What you may not realize is that this is all very time limited and many of these items are event exclusives, meaning you won't be able to find them once its over. It's definitely worth the trip to visit the event and check out all the things they have to offer.

A Clockwork Spiral, pt. 4

A Clockwork Spiral is in full swing and believe me when I say the photos I've shared with you do not do justice to the amount of work and talent on display at the actual event. The build is amazing, the designers are incredible and there is so much good stuff, you really need to see it in person.

I lucked into one more blogger pack to share and will continue to update if other bits and pieces find their way into my hands. Remember - this is for a really good cause (the National Kidney Foundation), so if you see something you like, go down and pick it up. You get good stuff, they get donations, everyone wins!

A Clockwork Spiral, pt. 3


More from the Clockwork Spiral event - if you love steampunk/victoriana or just really cool stuff, this is the event for you! As a bonus, proceeds from many of the awesome things the merchants have set out will to the National Kidney Foundation, so not only do you get great stuff (some of which is event exclusive and will not be available in stores after the event ends), but you are helping out a great cause.

A Clockwork Spiral is Back!


It's that time again, steampunk fans - A Clockwork Spiral has started at the Cursed sim. This is an annual charity event that celebrates the amazing steampunk/victorian/just plain cool stuff created by some of SL's most talented designers. A percentage of most purchases made during this 2-week event goes to the National Kidney Foundation.

We'll be showing a few of the many items you can find at the event over the next couple of days. In addition to the fantastic shopping deals, Club Gothika has moved its mobile unit into the Clockwork location, so expect great music and events to be happening there. This is a win-win event - you get great stuff and the National Kidney Foundation gets some much needed help.
