Welcome!

Hi there and welcome to Freebie Hunters! One of our favorite pastimes in Second Life is scouting the grid for fantastic hunts, sales, events and gifts from all the wonderful creators. We thought we'd share the wealth and showcase some of our finds in this blog, with an emphasis on the goodies available in various SL events and hunts. We do our best to show ALL items from a hunt/event and in the manner the creator intended, but this is not always possible.

***UPDATE August, 2018- We are still finding freebie/nearly free items to share with you, but due to RL time constraints, a lot of what we find is being posted solely on Flickr. Supernatural Hunt II: In the Dark (51-92)

Here's the second half of the Supernatural II Hunt - more goodies from some great designers hidden for the wary hunter to find. The vendors picked some really good hidey holes for the gargoyles, so be sure to give the stores plenty of time to rez while you are looking. Sometimes, especially when the item is made small, it takes an extra few minutes to rez enough to spot it. There are a few skips, as with the first half of the hunt, but again the blog gives you all the information you need and LMs in the gifts are up to date to get you from place to place with no problems. This was a fun hunt to do, and I think you'll have a good time following the path.

Supernatural Hunt II: In the Dark (1-50)

Those of you silly enough to miss the first Supernatural Hunt have a second chance this month with the Supernatural Hunt II: In the Dark. Over 90 stores worth of fun, creepy, out-of-the-ordinary gifts are scattered across the grid just waiting for the intrepid hunter to discover them. The little gargoyles are hidden in some pretty clever places, which give you plenty of opportunity to explore and check out all the lovely offering these designers have in their stores. There is an official blog with hints on one page and a store list on another, and there is an in-world group as well for extra support if you need it. There are a few skips, but they are clearly marked on the blogs and LMs inside the gifts are up to date in terms of getting from one spot to another around the skips.

Round up your hunt buddies and give this one a shot - its a nice warm-up for the coming slew of macabre-themed hunts as the summer months begin to give way to fall.
