SL Freebie Hunters: The Gacha Guardians, Spring'17

Welcome!

Hi there and welcome to Freebie Hunters! One of our favorite pastimes in Second Life is scouting the grid for fantastic hunts, sales, events and gifts from all the wonderful creators. We thought we'd share the wealth and showcase some of our finds in this blog, with an emphasis on the goodies available in various SL events and hunts. We do our best to show ALL items from a hunt/event and in the manner the creator intended, but this is not always possible.

***UPDATE August, 2018- We are still finding freebie/nearly free items to share with you, but due to RL time constraints, a lot of what we find is being posted solely on Flickr. The Gacha Guardians, Spring'17

If you are one of the many gacha addicts in SL, you definitely do not want to miss The Gacha Guardians event going on right now! There are over 40 stores taking part in this round, and they have created some amazing things for you to try your luck winning. Additionally, for every 15 pulls you make on a machine, you win not only the 15 gacha items, but also one of two special gifts from the designers as a thank you! If that isn't enough of a reason to try your luck, how about this: Many of the designers have also put out a group gift you can pick up free while wearing your group tags. So there are freebies, bonuses and tons of fabulous gachas to check out!

I will admit to being a little of a gacha addict, so I did play a few of the machines and found some really nice things. For this post, I am showing the free group gifts you can get from almost all of the designers. Many of the gifts are bonus items that work with things you can win in the gachas themselves, such as Culco's group gift of a parking space set up which is perfect for the vehicles they have in their gacha this round or BoWillow's pillow fight pose which was made for the pillows you can win in their gacha.

The event runs through the end of the month, so you still have a week or so to head over and take your chances.
