Hi there and welcome to Freebie Hunters! One of our favorite pastimes in Second Life is scouting the grid for fantastic hunts, sales, events and gifts from all the wonderful creators. We thought we'd share the wealth and showcase some of our finds in this blog, with an emphasis on the goodies available in various SL events and hunts. We do our best to show ALL items from a hunt/event and in the manner the creator intended, but this is not always possible.

***UPDATE August, 2018- We are still finding freebie/nearly free items to share with you, but due to RL time constraints, a lot of what we find is being posted solely on Flickr. Dark Future Hunt

Dark Future Hunt
May is winding down, but the hunts are still going strong! The Dark Future Hunt will take you on an adventure through some of SL's dark corners and inspired shops. This post-apocalyptic themed hunt contains some truly outstanding gifts and is an excellent change to get to do a little exploring of places you might not otherwise find on your own. The vendors have outdone themselves, and the hunt path runs extremely smoothly thanks to the hard work of the coordinators. It was a pleasure to do this hunt and even SL cooperated more or less, which was a rare treat lately. I definitely recommend this one, spread out over a few days to give yourself time to explore as you go. Take a friend or two with you - that little black biohazard hunt icon is HARD to spot in some of the darker stores, so the more eyes the better. There is an official blog with a list of stores and SLurls if you need them as well. Also...no skipping on this hunt! Various stores along the way include pieces of the SLurl you will need to put together to find the final bonus location, which has extra gifts from some of the vendors for people who make it all the way to the end. =)
