SL Freebie Hunters: Mix Match Hunt

Welcome!

Hi there and welcome to Freebie Hunters! One of our favorite pastimes in Second Life is scouting the grid for fantastic hunts, sales, events and gifts from all the wonderful creators. We thought we'd share the wealth and showcase some of our finds in this blog, with an emphasis on the goodies available in various SL events and hunts. We do our best to show ALL items from a hunt/event and in the manner the creator intended, but this is not always possible.

***UPDATE August, 2018- We are still finding freebie/nearly free items to share with you, but due to RL time constraints, a lot of what we find is being posted solely on Flickr. Mix Match Hunt

We were looking for a nice, easy hunt to do and ran into the Mix Match Hunt. This was a really fun way to spend the evening - 31 stores, a cute little pillow to hunt for, and a chance to check out some pretty neat shops. There is an official hunt blog with SLurls and hints and updated info regarding stores which are not ready yet (only 1 out of 31!), but we had no problem using the LMs provided in the hunt folders. There were a couple stores giving objects instead of folders, and 1 store who gave the item a random name, but otherwise it was smooth sailing.

We had a lot of fun on this, and its really a perfect size to knock off in an evening or two if you are looking for something fun and cute to do.
