Hi there and welcome to Freebie Hunters! One of our favorite pastimes in Second Life is scouting the grid for fantastic hunts, sales, events and gifts from all the wonderful creators. We thought we'd share the wealth and showcase some of our finds in this blog, with an emphasis on the goodies available in various SL events and hunts. We do our best to show ALL items from a hunt/event and in the manner the creator intended, but this is not always possible.

***UPDATE August, 2018- We are still finding freebie/nearly free items to share with you, but due to RL time constraints, a lot of what we find is being posted solely on Flickr. 2nd Annual HP Lovecraft Festival

2nd Annual HP Lovecraft Festival

For those of you with a Lovecraftian bent, this is THE event you don't want to miss. The 2nd Annual HP Lovecraft Festival is underway and there is an entire sim filled with Lovecraft-themed activities, a schedule of special events, and tons of designers with tents full of fantastic goodies.

The event is also helping raise money for autism awareness and education through the Autism National Committee and there are donation areas throughout the sim.

The event runs through the weekend, so be sure to stop by and check it out!

FRIDAY
4-6pm - The Pinkest Petal Psychedelic dance party, 1960's music. Dress code: freakish.
6pm - The Lovefest Freak Show at the Big Top on the Festival grounds
8-10pm - DJ and AutCom Host Rosalie Fleury spins at the Big Top on the Festival Grounds with 1000L$ PRIZE FOR BEST IN WEIRD

SATURDAY
12-2pm - Renowned DJ Bcreative Wilde Heart spins at the Big Top on the Festival grounds with 1000L$ FOR BEST IN STEAMPUNK
6pm Saturday- Tribute performance for Cradle of Filth provided by Bad Amplitude

SUNDAY
7pm - Closing Ceremonies - Festival Big Top!
