SL Freebie Hunters: Bi-Annual Cart Sale is happening now!

Hi there and welcome to Freebie Hunters! One of our favorite pastimes in Second Life is scouting the grid for fantastic hunts, sales, events and gifts from all the wonderful creators. We thought we'd share the wealth and showcase some of our finds in this blog, with an emphasis on the goodies available in various SL events and hunts. We do our best to show ALL items from a hunt/event and in the manner the creator intended, but this is not always possible.

***UPDATE August, 2018- We are still finding freebie/nearly free items to share with you, but due to RL time constraints, a lot of what we find is being posted solely on Flickr. Bi-Annual Cart Sale is happening now!

Check your pockets, raid the couch cushions, shake down the little kid up the street - its Cart Sale time again at the Wash and that means 10L deals for everyone! From August 22nd to September 5th, The Wash is hosting the Bi-Annual Cart Sale and it is hot! The August round has no theme, which means we have basically turned the designers loose and let them have their way with the carts, so there is no telling what you might find tucked away to titillate your fancy.

Over the next few days we will be highlighting some of the items available. There are just over 50 carts participating in this round and I was really excited to see some of what they have. In addition to the usual suspects, there are a handful of new stores participating and even a few golden oldies coming back for more after a hiatus. For me, that makes this round a lot of fun - a chance to catch up with old faces and make new friends.

This is the perfect time of year for this kind of event as well - its sticky hot outside, its the tail end of the summer when you just want to kick back and savor the last few days before the school season starts again, and Cart Sale is the perfect excuse to spend a little time in SL without spending a fortune.
