Hi there and welcome to Freebie Hunters! One of our favorite pastimes in Second Life is scouting the grid for fantastic hunts, sales, events and gifts from all the wonderful creators. We thought we'd share the wealth and showcase some of our finds in this blog, with an emphasis on the goodies available in various SL events and hunts. We do our best to show ALL items from a hunt/event and in the manner the creator intended, but this is not always possible.

***UPDATE August, 2018- We are still finding freebie/nearly free items to share with you, but due to RL time constraints, a lot of what we find is being posted solely on Flickr. A Very Rotten Christmas Hunt
We're back..more or less, and just in time for the Christmas hunts which have already begun flooding the grid! We're kicking off December with the very first Rotten Defiance-coordinated hunt, A Very Rotten Christmas. This was a great chance for us to ease back into hunting after our little vacation, and we had an absolute ball! The hunt started yesterday, and as of today there were only 2 stores on the path we skipped - one has been dropped from the hunt and the other is marked just as skip, so maybe they will have their item out in a bit. Both locations are identified on the official blog, which has SLurls and hints for all the stores, making it super easy to get around the hunt path. We did have a bit of trouble with teleporting, but that was SL being wonky, and not the hunt (not a single bad LM in the bunch!), and by the end of the day, we had been able to visit all the stores. And boy - what a lovely little haul of goodies we got to start the Christmas season! There are some really gorgeously made items included from these designers, and it was a joy to see some new-to-us stores on the hunt.

All in all, this was a fun, easy to accomplish in an evening or two hunt, and a great way to get into the mood for the month's festivities.
