Hi there and welcome to Freebie Hunters! One of our favorite pastimes in Second Life is scouting the grid for fantastic hunts, sales, events and gifts from all the wonderful creators. We thought we'd share the wealth and showcase some of our finds in this blog, with an emphasis on the goodies available in various SL events and hunts. We do our best to show ALL items from a hunt/event and in the manner the creator intended, but this is not always possible.

***UPDATE August, 2018- We are still finding freebie/nearly free items to share with you, but due to RL time constraints, a lot of what we find is being posted solely on Flickr. Birthday Hunt

YAAAAAAYYYYY!!! We are now in the preheating the oven phase (or countdown if your prefer) to delicious cuppycakeness goodness!!! We have gotten together a group of 42 wonderful store owners, all with gifts for MEN and WOMEN. The batter is mixed, the frosting is ready and we are ready to put it in the oven!! 2 years of HAPPPPPPYYY HUNTINGGGGGGG!!!

    Bugger. When I put it into local, it gives me a link that goes to the group, and the group is set for anyone to join, no cost...crap! Well...anyone who wants to join, hit me up in world until I figure why its not working right. =)

    what happened to this site? it once was better than all sl freebie sites together!
    now it looks dead for quite a while :(

      As I have said repeatedly in other comments when people have asked - there is only 1 of me. There were 3 of us working the blog when it started. Real life commitments, work, etc take priority over my time spent in SL and to be honest, after roughly 2 years of devoting ALL my free time to hunting and working on the blog, I find myself burning out and getting bored with the same stores and hunts over and over. Rather than give up the blog entirely, I am focusing on fewer hunts that hold some interest for my personal tastes instead of every hunt out there. I am also spending more time on my in-world store and other SL interests. I am not closing/ending this blog, but I will be changing up the format a bit and remaining cut back on volume for a time while I recharge my batteries, so to speak.
