Welcome!

Hi there and welcome to Freebie Hunters! One of our favorite pastimes in Second Life is scouting the grid for fantastic hunts, sales, events and gifts from all the wonderful creators. We thought we'd share the wealth and showcase some of our finds in this blog, with an emphasis on the goodies available in various SL events and hunts. We do our best to show ALL items from a hunt/event and in the manner the creator intended, but this is not always possible.

***UPDATE August, 2018- We are still finding freebie/nearly free items to share with you, but due to RL time constraints, a lot of what we find is being posted solely on Flickr. If you would like to follow the events being posted there, here is a link to the album page for our account: Flickr Albums. These are not blog posts, but simply pictures of the gifts available. Thank you!

Thank You to all of the creators!

Twisted Spring 2011 "Nevermore: 201-End Game

Twisted Spring 2011 Hunt
And so we come to the end of the Twisted goodies for this time around. Please keep in mind: there are a few items I did not or could not show in the blog, so the hunt still has some surprises for you to find...there are also TONS of mini-hunts, extras, special sales and so forth going on just for the Twisted event in many of the stores on the hunt path...and that the vendors sometimes add more items as the hunt continues. So be sure to join the Twisted group to keep up to date on the latest hints, number of gifts in the shops, and changes to the hunt path as some store drop out and others get various issues ironed out. At the very beginning of the hunt, there is also a starter pack for hunters to pick up that has a few more goodies, courtesy of the fine folks at DV8. Get out there and get your Twisted fix - if you miss this hunt, you have to wait all summer for the Fall hunt to come around!

Cheers, and Happy Hunting!

Twisted Spring 2011 "Nevermore": 1-49

Twisted Spring 2011 Hunt
Installation 4 from this Spring's Twisted Hunt, and yes, for those of you following along at home, I am NOT posting them in any particular order other than the order I get them photographed! =) This post covers stores 1 through 49, and HOLY COW - there are some utterly fantastic gifts in this group! Final post will be coming in a day or so, showing the tail end of the hunt stores and the goodies from the End Game, so take a peek, say a prayer, and dive in if you haven't started the hunt yet - the water might be a bit bloody...there may be a few "missing" hunters scattered about...but I'm sure any screaming you hear isn't anything to be alarmed about.

Cheers, and Happy Hunting!

Twisted Spring 2011 "Nevermore": 151-200

Twisted Spring 2011 Hunt
Part three of the Twisted Hunt was smooth as silk...great prizes, fantastic challenges from the vendors, and not a single problem with any of the stores at the time I went through. Keep in mind that the blog shows only the gifts I found - I know for a fact there are a few I couldn't find and that some of the vendors are adding new goodies, new challenges, and so forth throughout the month, so be sure to join the Twisted group to keep yourself up to date on how many gift boxes are in each store and what all the latest hints are as you work through the hunt. Take your time, explore the stores and have fun - you have all month to get your Twisted fix!

Cheers, and Happy Hunting!
