One Night In SL Hunt: 41-80

Here is the second half of the One Night In SL Hunt, and this portion went just as smoothly as the first. We hit no snags in the hunt path and were happy to see a few new shops we hadn't visited before. One of the peeves I hear from hunters is that the hunts are just the same stores over and over - so it's always a treat to see an infusion of "new blood" on the bigger hunts. We had a couple of texture rez issues with gifts when we took pictures, but that is getting to be the norm in SL these days - failure to rez and textures never loading all the way. Hopefully, you will have better luck than we did. Remember - the blog has SLurls if you get stuck and hints (and when they say check the hint giver, they mean it - one or two of the stores have individual male/female gifts out but you need the hint to find both!) All in all, we enjoyed this hunt a lot. Smooth path, good clues, great gifts. Definitely one worth doing.

One Night In SL Hunt: 1-40

Spring is in the air, the weather is warming up and so are the hunts in Second Life. The One Night In SL Hunt kicked off on April 8th and is running until May 8th. The 80 stores on the hunt path offer a wide variety of goodies, from clothes to shoes to furniture and houses, so there is something for everyone, even the guys since many of the stores are offering male gifts as well. The official blog has hints and SLurls for the hunters who need them, and indicate which stores need to be skipped for now (very few!), so be sure to check it out to stay up to date on changes in the hunt path or stores. The gifts in this first half were lovely, and we were able to move smoothly through the hunt. Grab your favorite hunt partner and give this hunt a try, you won't be disappointed.

Mix & Match Hunt : 100-151

Here is the third and final installation of the Fashion Freaks' Mix & Match Hunt - and the gifts are fantastic! They have everything from sexy little underthings to delicate dresses to full outfits including hair and shoes. The last 50 stores in the hunt ran just as smoothly as the first 100, with great clues and SLurls in the blog for the one or two stores that needed to be skipped over. The only real issue we had was trying to get to store 119 - I tried porting several times over 2 days, and each time got a message saying I wasn't authorized to go there. Hopefully, its just some screwy SL glitch and you will be able to pay them a visit. I completely enjoyed this hunt, and I have a great list of shopping destinations now for the first chance I get to do some retail therapy.

Mix & Match Hunt: 51-101

The second part of the Mix & Match Hunt went just as smoothly as the first - there were 2 skips, but the blog gave the needed LMs to move to the next store, and it was a nice, easy romp from stores 51 to 100. Lots to see, lots to drool over, and TJay there to keep me on track with the hunting when my eyes glazed over and I began muttering "Must...shop... ." (Of course, once he logged for the night, there was no holding me back...and no witnesses!) Tons of pretty, bright outfits are there for the finding in this portion of the hunt, as well as some lovely accessories and decorative bits for your home. Use the official blog for hints and SLurls, join the group for more hands-on help if you need it, and most of all, HAVE FUN with this delightful spring hunt.
